Welcome to the inaugural post of the new Skyline College Journalism Department blog. Aren’t getting enough department news via our Twitter and Facebook pages? This blog will provide you with more in-depth coverage of not only what the department and its students are up to, but also tips for j-majors and behind-the-scenes stories of The Skyline View and its staffers, former and present. For the time being, we’re off to the JACC NorCal Conference to be held at Sac State Saturday, Nov. 12. Adviser Nancy Kaplan-Biegel will be joined by at least 11 of her students as they attend workshops by industry professionals, enter on-the-spot contests, and network with fellow community college journalists.
